Moioe di Maiolati Spontini, Ancona

The project lays on an urban expanding area on a minor slope. The soil slope was utilized to build artificial terraces on which the new volumes find their natural positioning. The school complex is articulated in three distinct volumes that adjust themselves to the soil horography and define a fluid system of open spaces. The three buildings look monolithic and compact, anchored to the site’s topography. They are lightened up by different openings in relation to the entrances and the courtyards. For each building appurtenances areas and access systems are clearly legible.
