B House, Revò, Tn
In the little village of Revò, in the Non Valley, the fine wine collection of the house owner provides inspiration to build a little treasure chest: a concrete basement as an extension of the adjacent villa. Through the repetition of a square module of fir wood we have built a storage frame that covers up all the walls and stands in contrast with the dark ceiling and the porphyry splitted slab flooring. Building this volume required reorganizing the garden. Through retaining walls we attempted to sustain the hill slope and to create a number of en plein air rest zones. A porphyry slab flooring in the garden recalls the inside flooring of the basement.
