The penthouse, situated on the top floor of an early 20th century (1929) building, overlooking the skyline of Venice, has undergone a demanding restoration. All partitions were demolished and only the load-bearing walls were retained. The heart of the project is the terrace, around which the living areas have been organised. The original floors of the building were dismantled and reconfigured in a way to suit the new functions of the rooms. New openings were created to redesign circulation, establishing new relationships between the rooms, while also generating new visual perspectives, both within the house and across the terrace to the city beyond. The in-depth restoration also allowed for modernizing the infrastructure of the house.
