The New University Residence, Marghera, Ve
The project involved the building of new university residential quarters at the margins of the centre of Marghera, in the ‘900 residential neighbourhood, the Garden City. The area overlooks a freeway beyond which Marghera’s industrial zone expands. The project follows the urban plan guidelines and uses them as defining elements of the new volume. The latter draws as much as possible on the building area while trying to create ample open spaces. The resulting building develops around a courtyard over which look all the residential cells.
